Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Rivix Servers' hosting services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in service suspension or termination.

1. Illegal Activities

You may not use our services for any illegal purpose or to violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law. This includes but is not limited to fraud, identity theft, distribution of illegal content, and violation of intellectual property rights.

2. Harassment and Abuse

Prohibited activities include:

  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation of others
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
  • Spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications
  • Impersonation of others or false representation

3. Resource Abuse

You may not:

  • Exceed allocated resources (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth)
  • Run resource-intensive processes that impact other users
  • Use servers for cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive activities
  • Run servers that consume excessive bandwidth or cause network issues

4. Security Violations

Prohibited activities include:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or networks
  • Distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or other malicious code
  • Performing DDoS attacks or other network attacks
  • Exploiting security vulnerabilities
  • Interfering with or disrupting service operations

5. Content Restrictions

You may not host or distribute:

  • Copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Pirated software, games, or media
  • Child exploitation material or illegal adult content
  • Content that violates intellectual property rights

6. Game-Specific Rules

Your server must comply with the terms of service and rules of the respective game platforms (Steam, etc.). Prohibited activities include:

  • Running servers that violate game developer terms of service
  • Using unauthorized modifications that violate game policies
  • Facilitating cheating, exploits, or game manipulation

7. Commercial Use

You may not resell our services without explicit written permission. Commercial use of servers (e.g., running paid services for others) must be approved in advance.

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately at support@rivixservers.com or through our support ticket system. Include as much detail as possible.

9. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • Warning and request for immediate compliance
  • Temporary service suspension
  • Permanent service termination
  • Legal action, if applicable

We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect our services, other users, and third parties.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
